D20 Games is a fantastic game store and my personal favorite in the East Bay. I've been playing Magic: The Gathering at it for 5+ years and I have never had a negative experience. The community is very welcoming, and the store is where I found many of my current friends. I love the owner and the staff; you can tell they really care about both the games that are played at the store and the wellbeing of their patrons. They recently started running Magic: The Gathering RCQs which is super cool! The weekly Magic schedule as of now is Modern Mondays, Commander Tuesdays, Pioneer Thursdays (I think), drafts for FNM, and sealeds every other Saturday. They also do two weeks of events for prerelease and release weekends every time a new set releases. Buying cards and sealed product has always been an easy and convenient experience. They use TCGplayer market pricing for all of their singles, which I think some of the other reviews here might be confused about. The stickered prices don't really mean anything and are just a general guideline for when they were initially put into stock. You can also sell cards here for 60-70% of its TCGplayer market value depending on how in-demand that particular card is. I'm very glad that I found this wonderful spot all those years ago and I highly recommend that you give it a try! Show less

This is the best game store I've ever been too. Been coming consistently to weekly events, and to sell, buy, and trade singles. Everybody here, both the staff and the community of regulars, is super nice, incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and fun to be around. When friends in the area ask me for recommendations for game stores, this is the first one I suggest. Theres more to the store than trading cards, though. There's an excellent selection of other tabletop games, both RPGs and board games. I'm especially appreciative of the D&D 3.5 collection. I've only been going there for roughly a year, but going to D20 is always a highlight of my week. Show less

I've spent hours there for commander nights on Tuesdays, picking up a draft on Friday, and especially the sealed events - all of which I've had fun and inviting times at throughout the years. Especially with the development of their third and newest (and largest) location, the store just keeps getting better. For an evening of MtG fun, or if you're looking to pick up a new board game, this is my mainstay location! Show less
