Sitting at the bar and the Male bartender tended to our order of tequila and we got some shots. We came here primarily for the pinball, but have to say it's just overall an awesome place. If you're into pinball, it has one of the best collections I've seen outside of NYC, and almost all are premiums and very well maintained. Incredibly reasonable prices, a lot of space, ability to be part of or away from a crowd, a variety of games, and more TVs than you can shake a stick at. The bartender Wilson is also top notch, and incredible welcoming and friendly. Incredibly well thought out place. Don't be fooled by the strip mall type store front. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Charleston! Show less

If you're into pinball, it has one of the best collections I've seen outside of NYC, and almost all are premiums and very well maintained. I went to my hometown of James Island, SC and stopped into a bar for a drink and was blown away by the(lack of) service received my 22 minutes as a guest in this place of business. On my way in, I was (attempted) to be carded by someone that did not work at the establishment while the employed security did not address this person. Soon after, I sat at the bar that had 14 guests, including myself (I had time to count), for 13-19 minutes and was never acknowledged or offered a beverage (or anything for that matter). I made eye contact with two separate bartenders and was never even spoken to. If I were the owner of this establishment, I would be seeking alternate employees, as the current bartenders are not interested in serving the customers SITTING AT THE BAR. There were four bartenders with 14 guests, and I was NEVER acknowledged as a paying customer. As a bar/lounge owner and former bartender in a larger city, I was/am appalled; And honestly, whoever owns or runs this establishment, should be too. I never write reviews but tonight, it was a must. Wow. To whomever owns The Break on Folly Road, you would have a much larger ROI if you had the right people on your team. These people do not care about the success of your business. I would certainly reconsider my staff if I were you. Show less

I went to my hometown of James Island, SC and stopped into a bar for a drink and was blown away by the(lack of) service received my 22 minutes as a guest in this place of business. On my way in, I was (attempted) to be carded by someone that did not work at the establishment while the employed security did not address this person. He knew I had a long drive ahead and I didn't want to have any alcohol in my system to stay safe going home......this guy went out of his way to suggest a good non alcoholic beer and had to look top to bottom before he found it, but way worth the wait for his kind gesture! Well Alley or Kelley not sure was the bar tender horrible customer service I have never experienced anything like this in my life. When does a bartender pour chaser(red Bull) and liquor at the same time and get mad when I simply said it’s to much Red Bull. I asked for her manger Kayla (the one in the black shirt) Alley then says to her I hate those people. Her manager laughed and she said oh she wants you. She finally came her excuse was we are about to close and we hate all customers at that time and walks off. Meanwhile I have horrible drinks and horrible customer service on my very first experience at this bar never again and I will post on all platforms. Update she then comes back to tell me you need to leave your being rude I asked how she said it’s the end of the night and your complaining about our service. So I guess because they had a long night it justifies the rudeness very unacceptable. I am not done with them. If I am at work no matter how tired I am it does not give me the ok to be rude to customers especially when you know your wrong chaser and liquor does not get poured at the same time. Show less
