Everyone is very open to new and old players who may not have as much experience with all of the mechanics of the game. I just got back into playing in person within the last few months, and have had the best time while getting to know some really great people. I started coming here about a year ago, wanting to learn how to play magic but being very apprehensive about going to a game shop. I had reached out online to see if anyone had a place where someone who is new to playing and a little nervous could come and learn. Let me tell you, they reached out to... Read more

I started coming here about a year ago, wanting to learn how to play magic but being very apprehensive about going to a game shop. I had reached out online to see if anyone had a place where someone who is new to playing and a little nervous could come and learn. Let me tell you, they reached out to me within 30 minutes with the warmest most welcome message in an open invitation to join them at Brewlando and that they would personally teach me how to play. I was very nervous as I am a young woman in a predominantly male dominated hobby and I had previously not found any place that was welcoming, understanding, patient, and honestly just not creepy. I have gone every Wednesday I can since and they are still the most wonderful and welcoming group. I definitely suggest this if you are wanting to play magic with friendly people, if you want to learn magic, if you’re a girl just looking for a safe place to play magic or just wanna hang out with some cool people this is honestly the place to go.
