This is the place to check out! Play hundreds of different table top games (we have purchased several after testing them here). My wife participated in her first real D&D one shot and we are now looking to play a four shot. We thought we knew our stuff about some of the trivia nights but were grossly under prepared. There is a bunch of cool merch and snacks and if you are looking for more than snacks you can bring in outside food. So much fun to be had by all! Show less

5 months agoI loved this game shop/cafe. They have many tables for multiple game sizes, and are very helpful in accommodating your group if you call ahead (as we did). The cafe also has a massive and comprehensive range of games to play in-store. All the classics, but also a large variety of must-play games. W... Read more

The cafe also has a massive and comprehensive range of games to play in-store. All the classics, but also a large variety of must-play games. We really were spoiled for choice, and will have to come back. Also, they have a lot of Star Wars stuff on display here, and a store with a good variety of current games as well as gamer merch. Note that the food/drink options are limited, but you can bring your own or get something from the other places in the mall and the staff encourage this. We had a lot of fun, and we are coming back to play some of the other games. Show less

6 months agoGalaxy Game Cafe is an absolute gem for Star Wars fans and board game lovers alike! They have tons of games to choose from, whether you’re into strategy, party games, or something for the whole family. The vibe is super chill and welcoming, and they go out of their way to make everyone feel at home.

Community. This is not a brick and mortar store in the traditional sense of things. Sure, they have a great selection of board games, TTRPGs, Star Wars materials, and general 'geek culture' items that will make everyone's inner geek/nerd/dork squeal with happiness, but it is the community that the... Sure, they have a great selection of board games, TTRPGs, Star Wars materials, and general 'geek culture' items that will make everyone's inner geek/nerd/dork squeal with happiness, but it is the community that the venue has fostered and that has grown that separates the Galaxy Game Cafe apart from the rest of the FLGS (Friendly Local Game Store) in the Sacramento Metro Area. The play area is spacious, comfortable, and clean and one can find all sorts of games going on along with trivia nights, themed gatherings, crafting events, and just strangers that are not strangers by the end of one visit to GGC hangin' out together. $10 for an entire day of joy and community, $30 for a monthly membership with all sorts of perks? Peel yourself off the comfy chair, shower, put clothes on, and come be part of the GGC community and feel Modern Day Miasma be cleansed instantly! Show less
