Can’t say enough good things about this store. Been going since I was probably 10 years old but had a truly standout experience yesterday that drove me to leave this review So about 5 months ago I got back into MTG after a pretty much decade long break from competitive play. Since I came back I been buying a lot of sealed and singles to both build decks as well as pay catch up and have cards on hand to build what I want. Connection is one of the stores I used to go to back in the early-mid 2010s when I used to play a lot of MTG. Always great staff and selection and always had decent tournament show-outs. This week I’ve had a few singles orders with them (probably close to 100 cards total lol) and each time the condition is as good or better than described plus they are packed very fast Yesterday I had about 20 cards to pick up and was in a rush as I needed them for a CEDH tournament at another store so I just briefly scanned without much thought and went on my way. When I got to the other shop and started sleeving my deck I noticed that the psychomancer was non foil when I ordered a surge foil. Not a huge deal but still a cost difference and I like running foil where I can. I immediately called Connection and explained the situation, they checked their inventory and within like 3 min they found the correct card. They told me they would hold it for me and I could either pick up or have it shipped plus they added a $15 credit for the inconvenience. This was just a $4 card so honestly I wasn’t going to be mad if they said they couldn’t find it as I should’ve been checking closer myself but the fact they admitted to the mistake + offered me credit (which the credit was substantially more than the card’s cost) was a really pleasant surprise There’s a reason why many longtime players go to this store, they know how to treat their customers with respect + provide a good product and because of that they attract the right players too Show less
