3 years agoSuch a sweet spot, Video Game Heaven in Chesapeake recommended me to come here since I’m always buying gundam model kits there, so I just had to check it out. Im definitely coming back. It’s definitely worth the drive.

I've been enjoying Cool Stuff again now that they have new owners. (Video Game Heaven). They have a good brand here and I don't see them changing the name anytime soon if ever. I've found plenty of portable game content here (PSP, Vita, 3DS and GBA) and other retro consoles as well. In addition to selling old systems and games they also have a repair and refurbishing area in the back can pretty much fix or rebuild just about any of those classic consoles. You can find Cool stuff in Timberlake Shopping center in VB. Show less

I've been enjoying Cool Stuff again now that they have new owners. (Video Game Heaven). They have a good brand here and I don't see them changing the name anytime soon if ever. I've found plenty of portable game content here (PSP, Vita, 3DS and GBA) and other retro consoles as well. In addition to selling old systems and games they also have a repair and refurbishing area in the back can pretty much fix or rebuild just about any of those classic consoles. Overall I love the store and have an amazing experience almost everytime! I can't say the customer service is the best, but coming from retail myself I get it. I usually have no issues but I do have one gripe! I bought a pre owned nendoriod, and it was almost at new sales price. It was missing the stand to actually hold up the figure! I get it, it's pre-owned I can't expect perfect condition, and the box looked great! I just wish it was marked in some way shape or gorm it was missing that piece. I LOVE THE STORE! I ENJOY THE VIBE! 6 months agoThis store is set up really nicely and really organized. Prices on some items seem a bit high, while others are either fair or priced well. The discount rack for the games was a nice feature but contained mostly old sports games.

All of their locations have a great selection as well in games, consoles, and figures/models. The one problem all of these stores have is their pricing. I have no idea where the owner comes up with his prices. $399 for a base red Nintendo 3ds xl? Brother. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to retro gaming here. For figures, toys, and board games, most prices are fair. Even for newer video games it’s mostly fair. But once you step to Nintendo ds and backwards, it’s totally out of hand. It’s like the pricing structure is based on the highest comp he could find, not the average sale price. Everyone in VB talks about this and doesn’t recommend them for retro games. Everything else, they’re 100% worth a trip. We go in almost weekly. Show less

23 days agoGood selection of games, figures, and card games. Console prices are a bit high, so your best bet is to see if the Antique Mall for them since I believe they are more reasonably priced.

Plus they have a great selection of figurines from One Piece, DragonBall Z, Miku, Demon Slayer, etc. I ended up not getting anything just yet, but there's lots of Miku figures there that we don't have so I'll definitely be back. Especially to possibly trade in some old games and figures. Didn't get a chance to talk to staff but they seemed to be busy keeping the store stocked and clean. Show less
