Amazing customer service. Shawna & Cliff are the owners and both helped me and we had a lot of friendly banter. This place makes me miss what card collecting use to be growing up. I needed to sell some old vintage Pokemon cards from my childhood and didn't have the time to grade and list them online. They do buy them at only 50% market price (cash, they give more for store credit) but they will take the time to check each one and even marked some of the ones I had in better condition to a higher price than what I found online. Amazing customer service. Shawna & Cliff are the owners and both helped me and we had a lot of friendly banter. This place makes me miss what card collecting use to be growing up. I needed to sell some old vintage Pokemon cards from my childhood and didn't have the time to grade and list them online. The selection is great and the folks that work there are even better! They were quick to help a man in need. The owner took the time to clip/shave/piece together and glue a 3d printed model I had purchased on line. He then gave me all the tips I needed to paint the model and save money while I did it! If anyone is wondering how this store is for MTG 1) the Friday night magic drafts I played in, the people who win the first two rounds of a three round casual tournament “tie” so they can get all the prizes. I have not seen this happen elsewhere. Also they split promo packs here to give 1 card per p... Read more

If anyone is wondering how this store is for MTG 1) the Friday night magic drafts I played in, the people who win the first two rounds of a three round casual tournament “tie” so they can get all the prizes. I have not seen this happen elsewhere. Also they split promo packs here to give 1 card per person. Every other store gives a promo pack per event, charges less for the draft and has more prize support. 2) there is a commander player who adamantly is toxic to anyone who plays blue at his table. 3) commander players here are not welcoming at all, someone said they were new, and someone I saw there a few times took this as an opportunity to talk down and stomp the new player out of the game. This store is less than 5 minutes from my apartment, I make a genuine effort to go to brute force, TC or at ease over this shop, there people atleast are respectful. Show less

I'm a local teacher who consulted Game Empire when I started a TCG club at my school. They guided me through all the different materials needed and gave advice on how to teach beginners how to play Magic the Gathering. As a player, I've enjoyed the warmth and openness the staff have to beginners. My wife and I went to the Avatar the Last Airbender prerelease. Now she's more into MTG than myself, in large part to the kindness of the community at this shop. Show less

I’m very new to the pokemon scene after finding a collection from my childhood and wanting to get back into some collecting. I came to Game Empire with no expectations and I was met with incredibly nice people who were so willing to help answer all of my questions. No pressure at all from them to buy anything or sell my current cards. It was a great experience and I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. This is definitely the place I will be coming to as I start my new collection. Show less

I came to Game Empire with no expectations and I was met with incredibly nice people who were so willing to help answer all of my questions.
